Colonel Jan Wasowicz

Lt. Col Jan Wasowicz - LZ 15791 - 36575 - 45 - 3 Colonel Wasowicz was in command of 2000 Polish soldiers who came by ship from Italy at the end of the war. Those who came to Kington Camp were housed on the site of the 107th US General Hospital. After six months some of these returned to Poland, others joined their wives in Scotland, whilst Jan Wasowicz decided to train as a watchmaker and eventually opened a shop in Kington.
